Shenzhen Zhuhe Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary established by Bambu Lab for the project, won the land-use rights for the 83,591-square-meter site in Guangming District for 141.2 million yuan (about US$19.7 million), according to local government announcements.
The site is designated for a “3D Printing Intelligent Manufacturing Headquarters Base” with a planned gross floor area of approximately 376,000 square meters, including manufacturing facilities, research and development space, offices and supporting amenities.
The project follows a strategic cooperation agreement signed in February between Guangming District and Bambu Lab, under which the company committed to establishing an integrated manufacturing and R&D base in Shenzhen. Local authorities said the facility is designed to achieve an annual production capacity of more than 3 million 3D printers.
According to the district’s project selection plan released in March, production buildings will account for more than 75% of the development. The complex will focus on research and manufacturing of core 3D printing components, printing materials and complete printer assembly.

The Guangming district government said the project is expected to become one of the world’s largest 3D printer manufacturing centers. Once fully operational, it is projected to generate an average annual industrial output of at least 4.5 billion yuan over a five-year period.
As an interim arrangement, production lines at Minghu Zhigu Industrial Park in Guangming have already begun operating while construction of the permanent campus is prepared.
Bambu Lab has rapidly emerged as one of the world’s leading consumer 3D printer manufacturers, earning international recognition for its high-speed desktop printers and multi-material printing technology. The expansion underscores Shenzhen’s growing role as a global hub for advanced manufacturing and additive manufacturing technologies.
